How to Rate Your Coach

Players, you can help improve your team and your school if you take your ratings seriously. The 1-5 rating scale is fast and easy but your comments are more valuable. Use the comments to tell your coach exactly what you like about the program and exactly what you think needs to improve.

Be specific and focus on the things that make teams successful: Teamwork, strategy, practice, conditioning, motivation, loyalty and dedication. Coaches will take that type of feedback more seriously than complaints about playing time or favoritism.

Good comment example: Our team practices exactly what we need to practice, but we should do more conditioning.

Bad comment example: The coach is a jerk. There’s nothing good about our program. 

Volunteer to be a Moderator.

Players, we can use your help moderating for your school and spreading the word within your school community. Get valuable leadership experience you can use on college applications and job applications. Here’s all you have to do:

1. Send us your name, email address, school, city and state below.
2. Add the varsity coaches at your school to our site.
3. Join our Rate My Coaches Facebook group and invite your friends to join. Tell all your friends to visit our site and rate their coaches.
4. Keep an eye on the comments the coaches at your school receive and let us know if you see something that violates our Rating Rules.

That’s it. Once you’re a moderator you can put the following on all your applications:

School Moderator at RateMyCoaches.com: I was responsible for creating and updating the database for my school at this popular website. I moderated all the comments for appropriateness and adherence to Rate My Coaches rules and terms. I was the marketing coordinator for my school and helped Rate My Coaches get (fill in the number of reviews for your school here) reviews submitted for the coaches at my school.

You can list HumanResources(at)RateMyCoaches.com as a reference. When someone   checks your references we will confirm your status as an official Rate My Coaches Moderator. The more ratings your school gets, the better you look on your application.
